Honiton Running Club and Spinners host run-bike-run challenge...

HONITON Running Club and Honiton Spinners came together last week to host a Duathlon based from Payhembury Village Hall.

A total of 20 teams set out on the run-bike-run challenge around East Devon. Marcus Durant won the sole male team with a superfast bike ride and HRC’s own Sherrie Hair was the first solo ladies’ team.

Simon Spiller and wife Suzanne won the mixed team just beating Paula running and Adam Ferris.

Alan Nicholls and grandson Ashleigh together with John Burgess won the all-male team while Sharon Wells and Joanne Davey won the all-female team.

The previous day Emilie Padmore completed the 100k Jurassic 100 in 22 hours 20 minutes.
