PLYMOUTH Raiders were unable to back up their impressive win at Newcastle Eagles on Friday night with another victory on Sunday at Cheshire Phoenix

The Raiders lost 89-84 at Cheshire after failing to build on a half-time lead.

The visitors were 10 points up at the end of the first quarter and were 46-39 ahead of the break. But Cheshire pulled the game level at the end of the third before back-to-back threes late on from Momcilo Latinovic and Hayes proved decisive for the home team.

Cheshire profited with 26 points off of turnovers in the win, while they had five players reached double figures, led by Jalen Hayes with 19.

Raiders’ Rashad Hassan was the game’s top scorer with 23, with Donte Nicholas and Josh Wilcher finishing on 17 and 16, respectively.
