PLYMOUTH Raiders had to settle for an eighth-placed finish in the BBL Championship after losing 82-70 away at Glasgow Rocks on Sunday evening.
Raiders already knew they would make the end of the season play-offs going into the game but they could have finished as high as fifth had they won.
However, instead they will face number one seeds London Lions in the post season competition after their defeat in Scotland.
Plymouth had an early 10-point lead in Glasgow, but the hosts managed to cut the deficit in half by the end of the first quarter and then surged ahead going into half-time.
Glasgow continued their momentum to open up a double-digit lead and there was no way back for the Raiders.
The Rocks had 39 points from their bench with the strength in depth shining through in their final league game.
Raiders’ Rashad Hassan was the game’s top scorer with 19 points.
Plymouth’s play-off matches with the Lions will be at the Pavilions on Sunday, May 5 (3pm), with the return leg at the Copper Box Arena on Monday, May 6 (4pm).
Meanwhile, Bristol Flyers finished 10th in the tale after losing 90-76 away at Surrey Scorchers.
The two sides were level heading into the final period before the hosts came out firing in the fourth with a 16-3 spell which proved decisive.
Bristol were held to 28 points in the second half and they shot 36 per cent from the field overall.
