PLYMOUTH Raiders finally got back into winning ways on Sunday with an 85-80 victory over Sheffield Sharks to end a run of eight straight defeats.
It was their first win in the BBL Championship since November.
“We played solid basketball out there,” said Head Coach, Gavin Love. “We’ve had a poor run so it was important to end that as quickly as possible.
“Against the Sharks we played to our strengths and we played smart.
“I think our defence was a lot better and although down the stretch I’d have liked us to be a bit more solid – we turned the ball over a few times – as a team we moved the ball well during the game.
“It was a total team effort and there was a lot more energy.”
Raiders will be looking to build on the win when they play host to Glasgow Rocks at the weekend.
