RAIDERS SEE OFF GIANTS TO MOVE UP TO SIXTH IN STANDINGS


PLYMOUTH Raiders made it back-to-back wins in the BBL Championship by seeing off Manchester Giants 104-78 at home on Sunday.

Paul James’ side improved to 4-4 in the league to move up to sixth in the standings, while the Giants suffered their first road defeat to drop to 2-4.

Plymouth edged an even first period and then put up 30 points in the second quarter as they began to pull away. The lead moved beyond 20 early in the third and the Raiders were able to close out the victory.

The Giants struggled to stem the flow of points conceded with Plymouth shooting 61 per cent from inside the arc, while the visitors also went 10 of 20 from the foul line and shot 22 per cent from three-point range.
