PLYMOUTH Raiders were unable to stop London Lions’ march towards the BBL Championships title after they were beaten 99-92 in the capital on Wednesday night.
The Lions are now just one game away from claiming the league crown and going into the play-offs as top seeds.
Raiders remain in seventh spot, despite the defeat.
The Devon side made a strong start and led by as many as 14 in the opening period before Paul Guede closed the quarter with back-to-back threes.
The Lions took the lead before the half, but the visitors hit back to take a five-point lead into the final period and led 81-82 before a decisive 10-0 run gave the league leaders victory.
Raiders’ Donte Nicholas posted an impressive 29 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists, but it was not enough to help his side to the win.
