BIG DAY AT ILMINSTER BOWLS CLUB

Special match as Ilminster take on the Friends of English bowling team...

THERE was a big day at Ilminster Bowls Club last weekend with the visit of the Friends Of English Bowling team in a match which included Bowls England President Bill Smith and Junior Vice President Paul Robson and included players from eight counties.

The match staged was to celebrate Ilminster coming runner-up in the Bowls England Club of the Year in 2017.

For the record, Ilminster came out on top 133-104 and after the match Ilminster captain Kevin Hamilton was presented with an engraved glass plaque by the visitors’ captain Graham Annetts.
