Winning ways for Feniton BC...

THE FENITON Bowls Club’s men’s team had a good 75-65 win against Ottery St Mary in the County Trophy Competition.

The winning rinks were; D Sanders, R Smith, R Clarke & A Smith 28-10 and A Morgan, D Downs, J Skinner & I Veitch 19-12.They followed this up with a 41-29 win against Budleigh Salterton in the Foxlands Competition where the winning rinks were; D Sanders, G Phillips, R Clarke & A Smith 25-15 and I Veitch, R Binmore, A Kury & K Lovering 17-14.

The men’s over 60s A team lost narrowly 34-31 to Hemyock A. The winning rink was M Evans, J Skinner & I Veitch 20-13.

The ladies were victorious over Madeira in their over 50s league match winning 33-28. The winning rink was D Bowden, A Coyne & J Smith 20-15.

The mixed team lost it’s home match in the East of Exe League 65-57 against Tiverton. The winning rinks were; V Murdoch, D Sanders, R Binmore & K Lovering 19-11 and L Crook, D Bowden, A Coyne & D Coyne16-13.

However, in their friendly matches the mixed team had a very narrow 60-59 win against visitors Heavitree. The winning rinks were; L Crook, S Kury & A Kury 17-14 and G Skinner, A Morgan & R Clarke 15-15.

This was followed by a convincing 91-63 home win against Plymstock. The winning rinks were; J Wheatley, M Evans, S Kury & D Conbeer 32-7, L Crook, J Skinner, L Ley and D Coyne 26-18 and A Murdoch, A Pritchard, R Veitch & A Kury 18-11.
