SOMERSET made it two wins out of two in the Royal London One-Day Cup by beating Glamorgan away on Sunday.
The game in Cardiff went right down to the wire with Glamorgan, chasing 262 for victory, just falling three runs short.
It looked like it might be easier than it was for Somerset when they had the hosts at 21-5 after just six overs, but Glamorgan rallied well to set up a thrilling ending.
Having opted to bat first, Somerset found themselves at just 35 for two after the 10 over Power Play.
Somerset’s experienced duo of Peter Trego and James Hildreth helped get them back on track with 48 for the third wicket. Tom Abell also offered some resistance, helping Hildreth to add a further 57.
Hildreth was able to add another 10 runs before he was caught at long-off..
Somerset’s last two wickets added 83 with Craig Overton leading the way with an undefeated 41 before he helped share the first five wickets with Josh Davey.
