BRISTOL City’s ground Ashton Gate will host an England Under-21 fixture in March.
The Robins’ home will be the venue for England v Poland under-21s on Thursday, March 21 (7.45pm).
Bristol City chief executive Mark Ashton (pictured) said: “We are delighted that England Under-21s are going to be playing at our home ground and it promises to be a great occasion. Ashton Gate is a fantastic stadium and we are looking forward to welcoming the players and staff to the first-class facilities that we regularly benefit from.”
Ashton Gate managing director Mark Kelly said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to host the England Under-21s against Poland Under-21s. With the four large concerts Ashton Gate will host in the summer, this fixture really reinforces Ashton Gate’s place on the map as a sporting and event destination.
“Hosting the team will be an honour and I am pleased to confirm that we will be able to give our season card holders the opportunity to purchase tickets at early bird prices. I look forward to welcoming the team to Bristol in March alongside a great home and away crowd.”
AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium will also hold an England Under-21 game that month.
The Cherries will host Aidy Boothroyd side’s match with curren Euro champions Germany on Tuesday, March 26 (7.45pm).
