Front-man makes the switch from Poole Town...

WEYMOUTH have extended their striking options as they gear up for the 2018-19 Evo-Stik Premier Division campaign.

Warren Bentley has joined the Terras from Poole Town who will be one of their opponents having suffered relegation from the National League South last season.

Despite their struggles Bentley, who lists Gosport Borough, Hungerford Town, Winchester City and Alresford Town amongst his former clubs, netted 17 goals in 35 league appearances for the Dolphins.

The PE teacher at Sholing Technology College will join forces with former Poole team mate Tony Lee who recently joined Weymouth from AFC Totten and the established striking options of Brandon Goodship, Ben Thomson and Harry Baker.

Terras Manager Mark Molesley said on“I think you can never have enough goals in the squad. He’s a player we’ve courted for some time, even before I was Manager and we’ve kept a keen eye on him.

“He brings something different to the table and I think you can never have too many striking options. We are delighted to have him on board. He adds to our already great striking options with Brandon, Harry and Thommo already here.”
