BRISTOL City players Joe Morrell and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans have signed new contracts at Ashton Gate.

The midfield pair have been penned two-year extensions that will keep them at the Championship club until at least 2021.

The Robins also have an additional one-year option on the deals for the Wales Under-21 duo.

Lemonheigh-Evans is currently in his second loan spell with National Conference South high-flyers Torquay United.

Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson said: “Both Joe and Connor are developing well and we are pleased to secure them on contract extensions. Joe applies himself brilliantly in training every day and has waited patiently for his chances, which he has taken well. Connor is progressing at Torquay and getting first team football which is what he needs at this stage of his career.”

Meanwhile, fellow City midfielder Jake Andrews will continue his loan at Torquay United until the end of the season.

Andrews, 21, joined the Gulls at the end of August and has played an important part in Torquay’s good form at the top of National League South.
