DORCHESTER Town have confirmed that goalkeeper Chris Weale has signed a contract with League One Exeter City to be their goal keeping coach for the 2018-19 season.

A Dorchester spokesman said: “Chris was eager to take a full time role in coaching, and to be able to help the Grecians was something he could not turn down.

“He leaves the Magpies with our very best wishes for the future and we thank him for all his efforts and hard work.

The Chard-born 36-year-old former Yeovil Town, Leicester City and Shrewsbury stopper signed at the Avenue stadium in May 2017 and lifted The Players’ Player, Manager’s Player and Supporters’ Player awards at the club’s recent presentation evening.
