Lewis gets England call

Lewis Tribe of Salisbury has been selected for the England Senior Cerebral Palsy for the World Championships in Argentina.

The 17-year-old Burgate School pupil has been been part of the South West Talent Centre for the past few seasons. In 2015-16 he was recommended for the ‘Emerging Talent’ programme but was unable to take his place up at that time because of surgery on both legs. However, he was once again recommended for the programme and has since been invited to train with the England Development Squad and most recently with the Senior squad.

SWCP United welcome all players with cerebral palsy or an acquired brain injury. They train in Bridgwater on Saturdays and play in both national and county leagues. For more information, please call (07775) 802 317, or e-mail: jbswcp@gmail.com
