New managerial team appointed...

COMBE St Nicholas are looking to climb out of a period in the doldrums and have appointed Jason Manley as manager with Gerry Pearson as assistant.

The Saints endured an arduous season in the Somerset County League Division One (West) and finished next to bottom in 15th place, while the club’s reserve team finished bottom of the Perry Street League Premier Division, and the 3rds in the drop zone in Division Two.

Manley brings a wealth of experience as a player having performed at centre back for amongst others; Gillingham Town, Wellington Town, Street, Chard Town and Ilminster Town where he was also manager during the 2016-17 season and lead the Blues to the Somerset League Division One (west) title.

Most recently he was assistant to Jon Hurford for a brief stint at South West Peninsula League outfit Axminster Town.

Former Yeovil Town and Sheffield United midfielder Pearson has managed Chard Town, Witney, Street and Tintinhull and was most recently in the dug out at Sherborne Town in the Western League and has just taken a year away from the game.
