Buck leads his side to success...

The Greyhound 1 Pilot 4

Dorset FA Sunday Plate final

A Man-of-the-Match performance by Josh Buck helped Bournemouth Sunday League outfit Pilot come from behind to clinch a comprehensive 4-1 win at the County Ground, Hamworthy on Sunday.

Sam Bigwood ghosted in at the far post to nod The Greyhound from the Blackmore Vale League in front after 13 minutes.

But the lead lasted just five minutes as Buck headed home the equaliser after a neat move.

The Greyhound responded with a scorching drive from Aron Lawes which thudded against the crossbar. But it was Pilot who steered themselves in front with a crucial goal from Buck two minutes before the interval.

Pilot increased their lead in the 18 minutes from the end when Karl Chalkley’s low shot was half stopped by Greyhound ‘keeper Sam Pike but it still crossed the line  to create a two-goal cushion.

And two became three when Buck sent s low skimmer under the advancing Pike.

Following the conclusion of the match the Cup was presented to Pilot Captain Tom Willis by Peter Hughes a Member of the Dorset County FA County Cup Committee.
