PLYMOUTH ARGYLE ANNOUNCE NEW DIRECTOR

GINSTERS finance and operations director Paul Berne has joined Plymouth Argyle’s board, the League One club have announced.

The 44-year-old will replace Jo Cubbon, who has tendered her resignation citing other commitments as rendering her unable to give as much time to her role of director as she felt it deserved.

Berne joins Simon Hallett, James Brent, Natasha Brent, Jane Chafer, chief executive Michael Dunford, Richard Holliday, John Morgan and Tony Wrathall on the board.

Argyle chairman and majority owner Simon Hallett said: “On behalf of the Board, and all Pilgrims, I am delighted to welcome Paul as a Plymouth Argyle Director. He is already well known in and around the club and brings with him a wealth of experience and enthusiasm that will be invaluable.”

Ginsters are Argyle’s main sponsor and Berne has become a regular at Home Park on match days and is also a director for the Argyle Community Trust.
