BRISTOL Rovers will face a trip to Northampton Town in the third round of the Checkatrade Trophy.

Northampton are managed by Bristol-born Keith Curle, who played for Rovers, Bristol City and Torquay United during his career, which also saw him earn England honours. He also is a former Torquay manager.

The draw was made on Sky Sports by pundits Alan McInally and Matt Le Tissier.
