OSCAR THRELKELD has re-joined Plymouth Argyle on loan from top Belgian side Waasland-Beveren.
The 24-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, left Home Park last summer to move to Europe on a three-year deal having made 96 appearances for the Pilgrims.
However, he has found regular first team football hard to come by at Waasland-Beveren and so is returning to Argyle for the rest of the season.
“January came up and I knew I needed to get as much game time as possible,” he saide. “I knew Plymouth were looking for players. I could have stayed there and tried to fight for my place but, knowing that I wouldn’t get as many games, I’ve come here. I know the fans are great, most of the lads are still here from last season and I know the surroundings. I’m going to have to work my way in and prove that I’ve still got it.”
