Bristol City Women have announced the appointment of Chris Roberts as first team coach and technical director to the club’s Aged 9-19 programme.
Roberts joins from Hibernian Ladies FC, where he had been first team manager since 2014. Before becoming manager of Hibernian Ladies, he was assistant manger to current Bristol City Women’s manager, Willie Kirk. With three Scottish Women’s Premier League Cups to his name, Roberts will bring Bristol City a wealth of experience in the development of young talent.
On joining the first team setup, Roberts said: “I’m delighted to be joining Bristol City Women.
“It’s a fantastic club with an exciting group of players and I’m looking forward to working with Willie Kirk again.
“The league has never been more competitive and Bristol City are a club on the ascendancy, I can’t wait to get going.”
Willie Kirk said of the appointment: “I’m absolutely delighted to bring Chris to the club.
“We worked together for three years previously at Hibernian FC and during that time it was obvious that we complemented each other really well.
