ZUBAR COMMITS

Latest player to extend Terras' stay...

DEFENDER, Stéphane Zubar, has added his name to a growing list of the Weymouth FC squad which narrowly missed out on promotion from the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division to commit their immediate futures to the Terras.

Guadelopean Zubar, who returned for a second spell at the Bob Lucas Stadium in November, joins Josh Carmichael, Ben Thomson and Ash Wells who have all agreed to stay in recent days, while Jake McCarthy, Callum Buckley and 38-goal top scorer Brandon Goodship all extended their contract during the season just finished.

Weymouth were beaten 3-0 at Kings Lynn in their play-off semi-final but it was Slough Town who clinched the final promotion slot alongside Hereford with a dramatic 89th minute winner in a 2-1 play-off final win over the Linnets.
