Laura fourth against some of world’s best

British champion Laura Gallagher continued her high-flying return to trampolining competitions with international success in Spain.

Gallagher, who trains in Bridgwater, came fourth in the final of the Spanish World Cup event, competing in the senior women’s trampoline competition, the same category as her win in the British Championships.

She was among a group of leading GB senior gymnasts who travelled to Spain for a weekend to test themselves against high-level international stars at the World Cup.

British men’s trampoline champion Luke Strong and Rio Olympian Nathan Bailey won the gold in the senior men’s synchro event with a score of 52.250, ahead of Japan in silver with 51.350, and France in the bronze position with 51.250.

In the men’s tumbling competition, former World champion Kristoff Willerton looked strong, taking silver with 75.500. Rising star Kallum Mulhall claimed the fifth spot with 65.800.
