Priory Community School students Molly Brown and Lucie Antoine have both had recent success with both claiming a number of medals.
Brown, 13, finished in second place with her team at the Hungarian Aerobics competition in Budapest with the highest ever score by a British trio. This came on the back of taking gold and bronze medals in a competition in Portugal, two silvers in Slovakia, and golds in a Southern Region tournament and in the Welsh Championships.
She is currently British champion and non-Olympic Welsh ‘Champion of the Year’.
Antoine, 14, won two bronze medals and a gold in the British Championships as well as golds in both the Southern Region and the Welsh Championships.
Both gymnasts train at the Weston Aerobics Gymnastics Club.
Said Brown: “Gymnastics is really fun and engaging, the training is hard but the outcome and winning is the best part.”
Meanwhile Georgia Piere and Daisy Cromptonage, both 11, earned golds at the Heathrow International and the Welsh Championships respectively.
