Buccaneers narrowly miss out on the European stage...

THE TEAM Bath Buccaneers Men’s Hockey Team have narrowly missed out on qualification for the European stage of the Jaffa Super 6s indoor hockey competition.

They qualified for the Final by beating Wimbledon in a thrilling semi-final. The match finished 3-3 and so was decided with a shootout. The Buccaneers emerged victorious winning the shootout 1-0 and therefore qualifying for the final against 12-time indoor champions East Grinstead.

In the final they were narrowly beaten 4-3 by East Grinstead, who picked up their 13th indoor hockey title, and will go on to represent the UK in the European stage of the competition.
