7-lb claim handy for Tellovoi

Tellovoi might be worth a play in the Bet totequadpot At betfred.com Handicap at Chelmsford today.

His claims are not immediately obvious as the Richard Guest-trained nine-year-old is not getting any younger, nor is his strike-rate anything to write home about.

Tellovoi has not won for a year, but he is handicapped accordingly and was spotted making mildly encouraging late ground a few weeks ago over this course and distance.

The son of Indian Haven ended up finishing sixth, beaten under seven lengths by Captain Pugwash, which was not a bad effort at all as he was pinched for room once the stalls ripped up and was chasing the game from there on in.

Jockey Jack Osborn seems to get on with him pretty well and his 7-lb claim will once again come in very handy.
