EAGLES STAND IN THE WAY OF SECOND FINAL

THE draw for the National League Knock-Out Cup semi-finals has been made and the Ply- mouth Devils face the current Cup holders Eastbourne.

The Eagles are currently in second spot in the National League table behind Belle Vue and the Devils know they have a hard battle on their hands to overcome them and reach another final in 2017, having already qualified for the National Trophy final.

The semi-finals will be staged over a two-day clash with the Devils hav- ing the first leg on Friday, September 29, with the return 24 hours later at Eastbourne on Saturday, September 30.

The other semi-final will be either Mildenhall or Stoke against Belle Vue or Cradley.

Team boss Laurence Rogers commented: ‘There is no easy option at this stage of the competition. Eastbourne are a solid side and have just signed Josh Bailey to replace injury victim Mark Baseby.

‘Our aim though is to reach another final this sea- son having made the National Trophy Final where we will meet either Milden- hall or Kent.’

That was dependent on the result of last night’s final group match between East- bourne and Kent.
