PLYMOUTH have confirmed the appointment of Stuart Kellie as co-promoter for the coming season following his acceptance by the British Speedway Promoters’ Association.
Fellow promoter Mark Phillips said: “Having Stuart on board is a very important factor for us. With his previous background in the sports industry Stuart enables us to think outside the box.”
Kellie, who has previous involvement with Truro City FC, is relishing his new role with Phillips adding: “Speedway is all about entertainment so as well as the 15 heats we want to ensure the fans have an enjoyable evening.”
Changes will be evident when the season commences on Friday, April 6 against Kent in the National Trophy.
Plymouth are shortly hoping to announce a corporate partnership with a special local charity in the city.
Meanwhile, the Devils are looking for volunteers for the new season ahead.
Kellie said: “We are looking for potential track staff, stewards and people able to help in running the St
Boniface Arena on matchdays. Free entry is guaranteed and all positions should allow helpers to watch the team.”
