BRADNINCH Football Club’s under-14 girls’ team have donated boxes of gifts for the Brambles Ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
The reason behind the gesture is that last year one of the team suffered a freak accident while out walking with her parents and spent last Christmas first undergoing surgery, and then having post-op care on Brambles Ward.
Happily, the girl in question made a full recovery and is now back playing again and this year she got all her team-mates to chip in and put together 14 boxes of gifts that will be delivered to Bramble Ward in time for Christmas.
Bradninch FC club chairman Andy Hartley said: “We are very proud of the under-14 girls’ team for this gesture. It’s a fabulous gesture and we feel all involved should be immensely proud of what they have done.”
