NOEL EDMONDS TO QUIT TV IF CROWNED KING OF THE JUNGLE

ITV have finally confirmed that Devon-based veteran broadcaster Noel Edmonds will be joining ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’

Rumours that the 69-year-old was heading into the jungle have been circulating for a couple of weeks and now it has been made official.

Edmonds has vowed to retire from television if he crowned King of the Jungle.

“I will retire from television and I will never appear again,” he said. “There’s a deal that I am striking with the great British public who have supported me over the years.”

Edmonds said his 15-year-old son persuaded him to go on the show.

He added: “I think the British public will enjoy seeing me finally getting my comeuppance.  After everything I have done with Gotchas and gunging, I am well aware they are going to put me through absolute hell and I deserve it.”

Edmonds is famous for presenting programmes like Top of the Pops, Swap Shop, Telly Addicts, Noel’s House Party and Deal or No Deal.
