PLYMOUTH has been named as one of the best value university towns, according to research from ‘student affinity network’ UNiDAYS.

But Bath polled among the most expensive places.

Polling 3,000 student members to find out what students really spend their money on, UNiDAYS analysed the cost of student purchases and ranked them city by city.

Plymouth was the only West Country city in the top ten for best value, at seventh. Leicester was top.

The research also included the cities that offer the worst value for money, with London coming out on top, closely followed by Bath and Oxford.
