BATH UP TO FIFTH AFTER SEEING OFF TIGERS AT THE REC

BATH beat Leicester 23-16 at the Rec on Sunday to move up to fifth in the Premiership table.

Leicester had gone ahead when England winger Jonny May gathered a George Ford kick forward to touch down, but Bath responded with tries from Jamie Roberts and Nathan Catt to go in at the break 15-7 ahead.

A penalty from former Bath player Ford cut the lead after the break before the hosts went further ahead with a try by Ruaridh McConnochie.

Ford kicked another penalty before Rhys Priestland added one for Bath. Ford did kick another to give the Tigers a losing bonus point.
