BRISTOL Bears are able to welcome back Luke Morahan from injury for Friday’s highly-anticipated West Country derby against Gloucester at Ashton Gate (7.45pm).
The Australian winger, who has been unavailable with a facial laceration, is one of five changes Bristol make to the side that picked up a valuable bonus point in their last outing against Harlequins.
Andy Uren is the only other change to the backline, while Yann Thomas and Harry Thacker return to the front-row in the pack.
Head coach Lam said: “We will be spurred on by a massive home crowd and that’s a tremendous boost to the team. The atmosphere and occasion of a derby day is always passionate, but it’s important that we retain our focus and composure when the pressure is on. We are close to being excellent, but we have to keep striving for consistency.
Jack Lam returns to the 23-man squad as part of the replacements, while Mat Protheroe could make his first Premiership outing at Ashton Gate if he features.
