JOE COKANASIGA returned from England duty to score a late try and earn Bath a 7-7 with Sale Sharks at the Rec on Sunday.
The sides played out the first scoreless Premiership first half for two-and-a-half years.
Sale’s Denny Solomona thought he had scored in the 39th minute but the try was disallowed after Cokanasiga dislodged the ball as the Sharks winger crossed the line.
However, the deadlock was finally broken in the first 10 minutes of the restart when Jean-Luc Du Preez went over from close range.
But Bath secured a draw when Cokanasiga touched down with seven minutes to go after a good break and grubber kick by replacement Cooper Vuna. James Wilson, who re-joined Bath in midweek, added the conversion.
