HIGHLY-rated backs Robin Wedlake and Kyle Moyle have put pen to paper on new contracts with the Cornish Pirates.
The Cornish duo follow in the footsteps of team-mate Sam Matavesi in committing their futures to the Pirates.
A product of Penzance & Newlyn RFC’s youth section, Moyle, now aged 25 has made 116 appearances for the Pirates since making his debut in December 2012, scoring 46 tries.
Former Plymouth Albion and Redruth player Wedlake, 24, joined the Pirates this summer after recovering from a serious knee injury. He has enjoyed an impressive start to his career at Mennaye Field, scoring 12 tries in just 13 appearances.
Cornish Pirates co-coach Gavin Cattle has said: “We are absolutely delighted that Cornishmen Kyle and Robin are on board for another two years.
“Transforming our game since his move from wing to full-back, Kyle has been exceptional, and it is awesome to have someone of his quality in the squad.
“As for Robin, in his first season he has proven himself a prolific try-scorer and has given us some real firepower. He has ability to beat people one on one and his strength in contact is also outstanding.”
