Bristol Ladies have confirmed that England international prop, Sasha Acheson will leave the club to join regional Gloucester-Hartpury.
Acheson, who has played for Bristol for seven years, admitted that is was a tough decision to make.
She said: “Bristol Ladies has been my club for a long time, it’s one that has gone through the most incredible changes and reached new heights season after season.
“It’s a club that I’ll miss hugely, but this change is what’s best for me right now. I’ll always look back at my time with Bristol with so much fondness – and admire the journey I have been on, the team, and the club – but now it’s just time for a new chapter for me.
“Being a part of the Bristol family has been incredibly special, and it’s what kept me in the West for the last few years. I’ll follow how the girls get on, and I wish them all the best.”
Speaking of the new arrival, Gloucester-Hartpury’s Head Coach, Susie Appleby said: “Sasha is a talented and experienced player who will add further quality and strength in depth to our developing squad going forward.
“It’s our first season competing in the Tyrrells Premier 15s and we face a learning curve every single week we play. Being able to call upon a player like Sasha is a real bonus and speaks volumes of the progress that we’ve made that she wants to continue her career here.”
Acheson follows Sarah Bern in joining Gloucester-Hartpury from Bristol Ladies.
