BRISTOL City were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with Millwall at Ashton Gate on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, City took the lead in the 52nd minute when a Niclas Eliasson cross into the box was sliced into his own net by Jake Cooper.
In a match where clear-cut chances were few and far between, Millwall levelled when Shaun Williams hit a volley past Niki Maenpaa.
With virtually the last the play of the game, deep in stoppage time, City almost won it but Eros Pisano headed a Eliasson corner just over the bar.
“I’m not displeased today,” said City boss Lee Johnson. “I feel sad that we didn’t get the three points, but I thought we played with confidence, width and energy.”
