GLOUCESTER booked their place in the Premiership play-offs, despite losing 27-20 away at Worcester Warriors.
Worcester knew a victory would secure their top flight survival and they were determined to get it.
But the losing bonus point Gloucester picked up means they will finish in the top four.
Gloucester were leading 15-13 at half-time, thanks to tries by Henry Purdy and Willi Heinz and a penalty and conversion from Billy Twelvetrees.
All Worcester’s first half points came from Duncan Weir, with two penalties and then a converted try.
After the interval Niall Annett put Worcester in front before Darren Barry extended their advantage.
Purdy got one back for Gloucester but Worcester were not to be denied.
